Spray Lake Sawmills held a workshop in Cochrane on April 4^th to look at and review a couple of different reports:  High Conservation Value Forest Assessment and Protected Areas Gap Analysis.  The workshop went well and constitutes one step on a longer pathway of stakeholder engagement in the company’s forest management activities.  For those of you who may be interested we have posted the minutes and copies of the powerpoint presentations from this session on our website.  They can be found by going to www.spraylakesawmills.com ; click on the “Woodlands” tab and then “Forest Certification”.

The report on the Protected Areas Gap Analysis has been undergoing a peer review.  As soon as it has been finalized we will be posting that as well.  Hopefully this should occur next week sometime.  Stay tuned.

In the meantime if anyone has any comments or feedback to offer we would be more than happy to hear from you.  By May 17 we will be gathering all of the responses and start assembling a final report.
